UFC GYM Opening 41,000-Square-Foot Murfreesboro Location on November 14
The brand's second Tennessee club takes over a former YMCA with founding memberships at $1 enrollment.
UFC GYM will open its Murfreesboro club on Saturday, November 14, at 205 N. Thompson Lane. The 41,015-square-foot facility is the brand's second location in Tennessee. It occupies a former YMCA building, giving the club an unusually large footprint for a franchise gym.
UFC GYM is a fitness chain built around mixed martial arts training alongside conventional gym equipment. Locations offer MMA classes, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, and group fitness alongside free weights, cardio equipment, and recovery amenities. The Murfreesboro club is operated by Carmine Grassi, a Franklin, Tennessee auto dealer (INFINITI of Cool Springs, Ford Lincoln of Franklin) making his first move outside the automotive industry. Grassi has said he plans two more UFC GYM locations over the next three years.

The original YMCA gymnasium now houses a free-weight area with racks and eight Olympic lifting platforms. A separate Glute Room, a turf zone running through the center of the club, and a full cardio line with an elevated indoor track round out the training floor.

One of the more unusual features of the Murfreesboro location is a dedicated Kids Zone, which the press release describes as a separate full-size gym with its own drop-off area. Youth programming starts at age six and includes Youth BJJ, Youth Boxing, and Youth DUT. The club's press release framed the opening around welcoming families across Middle Tennessee, and the Kids Zone appears to be the centerpiece of that pitch.

Murfreesboro is UFC GYM's second Tennessee location. Operator Carmine Grassi has announced plans to open two additional UFC GYM clubs in the region over the next three years, which would bring his total to four locations.
The November 14 grand opening runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The morning starts with an MMA skills session and a meet-and-greet with UFC veteran Jessica Eye, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. A Vendor Village featuring local businesses will be on-site throughout the day, and the celebration closes with a 5 p.m. Country Fusion class.
At 41,015 square feet, the Murfreesboro club is a larger option than most franchise gyms in the area. The combination of combat sports classes, a full recovery suite, and a dedicated Kids Zone with drop-off makes it a practical choice for households with children as well as serious athletes. Founding membership rates are available now and are likely to increase after the grand opening.
